What’s it all about — Lisa?

Posted by on March 29, 2012

If you have not figured it out already, this weeks outing under the category “What the world needs now is…” – is in fact what the world needs more of: Burt Bacharach and Dionne Warwick!  As Lisa and I do our brainstorming, we keep bumping up against things that one of us has done and the other has not.  For those who know me, you know that I have seen Dionne in concert many, many, many times.  I have even seen her with Burt.  That is why I wanted to share it with Lisa.  I did, however,  have a few “firsts” with this outing because we did not just see Dionne and Burt – we attended a Grammy Museum tribute to Dionne where they interviewed her and spoke to Burt B and Clive Davis about her too.  Did I mention we sat in the front row?  Oh, and they recorded this for the Grammy archives.  So here is the riddle for our readers: knowing that it was being recorded – in conjunction with it being an opportunity to actually speak to the 2 of them - who do you think shot up first when they asked for questions from the audience – Erin or Lisa?  While it was in fact me, I do think Lisa enjoyed the show – even if everyone else there was the age of her mother :)

So….I’ve gotta know…what question did you ask??? I’m on pins and needles over here…I figured the blog would say it…but it didn’t :-(

I asked her what was a favorite song that never got popular – she said “all of them” so did not really answer but in a way she did because I was going to say “a song like Be Aware” (a song she sang that got no traction) but just before my question, she said she had a new disc coming out with some old songs and she included “Be Aware.” Burt said he would like to re-do “Windows of the World” because he did not think it was as good as it could have been. It is another of my favorites!
